Dream Machine

It was all a dream...or so it seemed.  Fortunately it was real- this interactive exhibit in Brooklyn takes you through what would be a night filled with memorable, fun and colorful dreams. The nine-room installation keeps you guessing on what will be next as each room is better than the next.  I threw on a comfortable floral maxi dress to walk through this dream cotton candy filled wonderland.  The exhibit is only until May 31st so check it out before it closes!

Secret Paradise

Just outside of Clearwater Florida, there is a secluded untouched natural island that is an absolute paradise.  If you want to escape from the bustling city and spend time in what feels like a secret paradise, Caladesi Island is the place! We had the beach all to ourselves- an absolute luxury in such a popular area.

To protect myself from the sun, I wore this sequin-embellished cover up.  The silver sequins reflect the colors of its surroundings- looks incredible as it catches the blue waters of the Gulf combined with the bright blue sky.

Seeing Spots

Polka dots are everywhere this season and I have to admit that I love it.  They're simple but so cute!  Polka dots are great in any color but there's something about black and white that is classic yet playful at the same time.  I was looking for a wide leg pair of polka dot pants and found these at a great price.  They are not available for sale yet online but can be found in stores.  I think they'll sell out so grab a pair quickly.

Pommes Frites

There are just some days where you crave comfort food and that is when I have to go for french fries.  Nothing beats a good french fry!  That is why I had to absolutely have this skirt.  I think the french fry print and tie front are just darling details.

While enjoying the day in Williamsburg, we stumbled upon this cool vynl (yes, real records!) shop/cafe.  It has great music, pizza and drinks plus you can actually listen to the records.  A great spot to hang for a bit and listen to good music.

Out of the Blue

Finally felt like spring in NYC. The weather this Saturday was absolutely amazing.  I think every New Yorker came out of their home to enjoy the glorious day- every park, outdoor cafe and sunny side of the street was full.  This maxi dress can be dressed up or down- I kept it low-key with flat sandals.  It's a thin stretchy material that is so soft- feels great against the skin.  Perfect for sunny spring days!

Mi Amor

San Francisco is one of my favorite cities in the US.  Walking over the striking Golden Gate Bridge is a one of a kind experience and the views from the Marin Headlands are incredible.  I threw on a relaxed outfit to be able to comfortably and quickly see the sites as we only had one full day in the city.  These jeans come in a few fun spring colors and are a great fit.  I always try to grab a pair when they are on sale. This t-shirt was just too cute to pass up!

Life in Full Bloom

During my trip to northern California, we also got a chance to check out Sonoma Wine Country.  The town of Healdsburg is a perfect base for exploring the area with its cute restaurants and central plaza.  Although spring is taking a little longer on the East Coast, it was in full bloom in California.  The mesh material of this tulip wrap dress made it comfortable for a day filled with lots of food, wine and laughs.

More Flower to You

These mega wide leg pants are an absolute must for this spring!  The colorful flowers look like they have been painted on and will go with almost any color top.  These pants were a fun look for wandering around the beautiful Napa Valley vineyards and wineries.  Capturing the awesome beauty of the region was a challenge, but hope you enjoy the outfit and the pics!

Happy Easter

After leaving a cold New York, spending Easter weekend in Napa Valley has been like a dream.  Blue skies, warm temperatures, beautiful landscapes and amazing wine has me wanting to stay in Napa forever!  The Hall Winery in St.Helena was one of our favorites- the distinct art and good wine make it a stand out in the region.  This cool cotton dress was perfect for the warm sunshine. I am obsessed with print- little bees spread throughout the stripes and ruffles of the dress.

Federal Hill

On the way home from Boston, I took a little detour to the Federal Hill neighborhood of Providence, Rhode Island.  This neighborhood is rich in history with its Italian American heritage and abundance of amazing restaurants.  If you're in town and need to grab a bite to eat, I highly recommend Joe Marzilli's Old Canteen restaurant.  It is old school Italian wrapped in pink goodness- trust me, you'll know what I mean when you go.

For a casual day of sightseeing, I wore this striped blouson sweater with olive green pants.  Both are super comfortable pieces and perfect for transitioning to spring.  They can also be found on sale pretty regularly which makes them really affordable pieces as well.

Shine Bright

I can't remember the last time NYC had a Sunday with the sun shining bright and such a beautiful clear blue sky.  I took the day just to walk around and take in the City.  I love the cheeky and sparkly statements of these Bow & Drape sweaters.  They put an instant smile on my face.  I am also so happy that Kate Spade brought their Sam bag back to celebrate their 25th birthday.  This is the bag that started it all!  It's the perfect size and every month they are coming out with a new color or pattern.

Splash of Color

I'm welcoming March with a splash of color!  The fun stripes and vivid color of this dress remind me that spring is just around the corner.  The cotton and spandex material make it so comfortable that you can wear it anywhere with ease and confidence. I matched the dress with my personalized mini cross body bag- love the bottle of bubbly emoji!!

Layer Up

Back to the reality of winter in NYC!  After enjoying the almost spring like temperatures, it's back to windy and cold but bright days.  The key to winter dressing is layering.  It's even better when the work of some of the layering is already done for you- that's one of the reasons I love this dress.  I layered it over a full skirt to give it the bottom half more volume and a thermal shirt and tights for warmth.  This dress will be perfect for spring sans tights and heeled sandals.

Wear Your Heart On Your Sleeve

My favorite holiday is coming up and I am so excited!!  There are plenty of different styles of these cute heart patch sweaters (see here and here) available that are just perfect for Valentine's Day.  Throw the sweater on with a skirt or jeans and you are ready to celebrate the month of love and sweetness!

En Pointe

What little girl hasn't dreamed of being a ballerina? Although I don't have the talent of a professional dancer, I can pretend by twirling around in a tulle skirt at the home of the New York City Ballet and Juilliard.  I paired this pink tulle skirt with a butterfly print ruffled bomber jacket that I am so excited to wear into the spring.  It can be paired with anything- jeans, skirts or dresses.  Definitely a closet staple!

Show Your Stripes

One of the biggest trends for next season is stripes.  I've always been a huge fan of stripes.  I love the thick material and bright pink stripes of this sweater dress.  Throw this on for work and then head straight to happy hour.  The colors of the dress also make it an easy piece for transitioning into the spring.  I've already started to countdown to the next season!

Industry City

Industry City in Sunset Park, Brooklyn is worthy of a visit for the amazing Food Hall and art installations.  The massive industrial space had great outside areas for passing a leisurely day in Brooklyn.  Fortunately, the frigid cold has left NYC for now so I was able to enjoy the day with this light coat from the Colombian brand Bendita Seas.  They finally are shipping to the US so check out their site.  I love everything!

Give the Cold Shoulder

I got to enjoy warm temperatures in Medellin as frigid weather bore down on New York.  I felt very grateful for the escape and felt lucky to be able to wander around this city in this beautiful cold should top.  I fell totally in love with the voluminous sleeves on this top.  I can't wait to wear it with high waist pants in the spring.
