From the friendly people to relaxing vibes, these villages are a necessary escape from the bustling cities. Guatapé is one these must-visit towns about two hours away from Medellin. With its El Peñol (the big rock with approx. 700 steps to climb to the top) and zócalos (the decorative figures at the bottom of the buildings), Guatapé is a great place to go to for a hike, a traditional lunch and exploring its picturesque streets.
