Medellín is Light

Medellín is my favorite city in the world- the weather, food and people make it easy to fall in with love it and, for me, it is also home. These pictures were taken in Parque de las Luces or Park of Lights which contains 300 light poles that look incredible lit up in the evening. I wore this top by one of the best Colombian designers named Silvia Tcherassi. Her unique designs have special details that can’t be found anywhere else. The voluminous top half of the blouse is decorated with butterflies while the bottom half has colorful dots. I adore the buttons down the back of the blouse. Comuna 13

Once Medellin's most dangerous neighborhood, Comuna 13 is now filled with hope, vibrant street art and positive vibes. The graffiti art in the neighborhood communicates not only stories of its violent past, but also optimism for a peaceful and happy future.  Taking a tour guided by one of Comuna 13's residents provided a unique insight to the area that would not be possible otherwise.  The strength and resilience of Comuna 13 reminds us that it is important that we do not forget the past, but we must always look forward to a better future.  If you are in Medellin, this tour is an absolute must!

Bluetiful

In the city of eternal spring, the blue skies were the perfect compliment to this blue dress, which I think has to be my absolute favorite buy this season!  The bohemian print and the tassel cuffs are so much fun- perfect for memorable summer nights. PS- the views of Medellin from these lookout points in the moutains are stunning!
