Urban Safari

This utility dress is meant for exploration and adventure in the concrete jungle that is New York City.  This is probably one of the easiest dresses to transition into fall- just throw on a pair of booties and it becomes fall ready.  I paired the dress with a bag made from a traditional Colombian palm fiber named caƱa flecha.  It's a beautiful handicraft from the indigenous Zenu people that remains a part of Colombia's culture today.

Streets of New York

In this frantic city I call home, there can be an overwhelming amount of sounds, smells and sights but, if you slow down, you can also find some of the best street art in the world.  Walking around New York City is always an adventure and probably one my most favorite things to do.  To take on the streets of New York,  I paired this navy jumpsuit with this pink box bag that I adore.

Magical Realism

Gabriel Garcia MĆ”rquez is one of the greatest Colombians that has ever lived- incredible author, Nobel Prize winner, and the icon of magical realism.  Designer Silvia Tcherassi created a beautiful collection in honor of the women of the magical village Macondo featured in his most famous work One Hundred Years of Solitude. I am obsessed with the entire collection.  This top in particular captures the colorful homes of the Caribbean.

Live Colorfully

Puerto Rico is my favorite destination in the Caribbean.  I love the people, the food, the music and the colorful streets of old San Juan.  The colors are so bright and cheerful it's impossible not to have a smile on your face as you meander through the small streets.  I bought this dress right before the trip and am obsessed!  It's super comfortable and I love how the blue also runs down the back zipper.  It's on sale so try it on before it sells out!

Welcome Summer!

I'm welcoming summer with these fun flower print culottes.  I'm so looking forward to outside dining, barbecues and relaxing days on the beach.  Many stores are having their huge sales right now- Zara launches theirs today!  Both this top and these pants are from Zara.  I am so in love with these pants- the color, print and length and are just perfect (and they are now only $35.99!).

Flirty Flamingos

Back in New York and enjoying the few days of good weather with this flirty flamingo top and skirt.  I adore the print and love the fact that these pieces can easily be worn separately or together.  We took these pictures in Long Island City under one of my favorite vintage signs.  The iconic sign is much larger than expected and sits in a relaxing park with excellent views of Midtown Manhattan.

Falling In Love with La Rioja

This is my second trip to La Rioja in about 6 months and I am already trying to figure out when to return.  I have fallen in love with the wine growing region of Spain where the wine flows freely, the views are spectacular and the food is delicious.  This visit was extra memorable since we were there to celebrate our friends' wedding.  For this special occasion, I chose a playsuit with a convertible skirt that could be removed for dancing late into the evening!

A La Sevillana

For our last day in Seville, I wore this lovely top with pink and yellow floral embroidery by Mi Golondrina,  I adore this brand for its beautiful details and colorful spirit.  These heart pink flip flops are unbearably cute as well!  On a side note, the massive wooden structure named Metrosol Parasol shown in the pictures below was one of the most amazing buildings we saw in Seville- truly a unique architectural marvel.

AlcƔzar of Seville

I felt like royalty from another era visiting this fascinating palace with its expansive gardens. It's easy to get lost in the maze of gardens, terraces and incredible architecture.  This cotton colorful dress allowed to me catch the occasional breeze that would pass through on one of the hottest days we spent in Seville. A hat was also a necessary accessory for hiding from the sun's strong rays.

Pine Away

Seville may be my favorite city in Spain although it's hard to choose just one because the country has so many amazing places.  With temperatures soaring into the nineties, I wore this playful pineapple print skirt for a full day of exploring the magical city of Seville.  These shoes are so comfortable and come in a variety of colors.   I was able to wear them the whole day without hurting my feet- the heel is just the right height to wander for hours.

On the Bay

I fell in love with the charming city of San SebastiĆ”n in northern Spain.  The beautiful Bay of Biscay, the amazing pintxos and the incredible architecture  make this a city worth exploring.  For a day of sightseeing, this tunic with orange and blue embroidery was perfect to provide protection against the sun while keeping cool.  Can't wait to come back for a longer stay!

Free as a Bird

Feeling tropical and free in this magnificent bird and palm print dress.  I don't think there is a better dress for enjoying a warm breeze and beautiful sunset. I love the vibrant colors of the birds and, since the material is cotton, it's perfect for the heat.  I paired it with a bamboo bag and red block heel sandals for a night out in Clearwater, Florida.

Scarlet Fever

When I first saw this skirt, I had to have it!  Not only was it available in my favorite color, but the ruffles and length make it feel like a special piece.  I was also so excited when I first heard that Alice and Olivia was finally coming out with sunglasses this season.  I love all of them, but decided on these after a few hours of trying on all the fun pairs they have.  Definitely worthy of a trip to the store just to try on a couple of pairs- you won't regret it!

Pink Bloom

Spring has sprung!  I was so excited to finally pull out this dress with pink blooms, lemons and bees.  The perfect combination to celebrate longer warm days that allow more time for exploring. These pictures were taken at a former thread mill in Connecticut dating back to the 1800's.  A beautiful building filled with stories from the thousands of workers it once it contained.

New York or Nowhere

There is no place like New York.  I love living in this City with its endless energy and abundance of diversity.  These sweatshirts capture my sentiments perfectly- New York or Nowhere!  The inside of the sweatshirt is a very soft fleece that makes it feel so cozy.  I grabbed the t-shirt too for warmer months.

In the Pink

Before NYC gets hit with what could be the biggest snowstorm of the season, I wandered through some typically touristy spots.  The great thing about this time of year is that you can actually go around the City without a ton of people crowding the same place.  I love this pink coat with its quarter length sleeves and orange accent on the collar.  Just enough pink to brighten a cold winter day!
