Summer Nights

The heat finally broke in NYC and we had one of the most beautiful summer nights we have had in a while.  To enjoy the amazing evening, I went out in my favorite color.  I love the fact that this silk midi skirt comes with a red slip underneath- perfect for breezy nights.  This top is so versatile that I bought it in both red and white. Hope the weather stays like this through the weekend!

Puente de Occidente

The Puente de Occidente (or Bridge of the West) is a beautiful suspension bridge from 1895 in the colonial town of Santa Fe de Antioquia in Colombia. Walking across the wooden pedestrian path and over the Cauca River transports one back in time.  One of the most curious facts about this bridge is that the Colombian engineer responsible for its construction also worked on the Brooklyn Bridge and applied his leanings from there to this amazing bridge.  Santa Fe de Antioquia is about 1.5 hours from Medellin and a definite must see!

More Flower to You

These mega wide leg pants are an absolute must for this spring!  The colorful flowers look like they have been painted on and will go with almost any color top.  These pants were a fun look for wandering around the beautiful Napa Valley vineyards and wineries.  Capturing the awesome beauty of the region was a challenge, but hope you enjoy the outfit and the pics!

Colorful Christmas

I wish everyone a very happy and colorful Christmas!  Hope you are spending this special time with all of your loved ones.  I am home for the holidays spending time with my lovely family and doing a bit of exploring as well.  My favorite neighborhood in Bogotá is the vibrant and historic La Candelaria.  With its bright colonial-style buildings and unique street art, the  energy and life of the neighborhood is inspiring.  I took the inspiration to heart and wore my favorite rainbow bright top for wandering around the neighborhood. Paired with red pants, the look makes a colorful statement while still being comfortable.

Falling for Fall

I have been doing my best to take advantage of these warm fall days in New York by taking my time meandering through the streets.  There are always things to discover in this ever changing city.  This relaxed dress is one of my favorite purchases of the season- the colorful satin flowers and petals capture the light beautifully.  I could not resist pairing this dress with these blue velvet booties.  They are so comfortable and will match with almost anything.  I plan on getting a lot of use out of them this season and the next.

Chi-Town

The season of transitional dressing has arrived!  I adore the gold buttons on these cropped pants that will work both with boots for cooler temps and just as well with sandals to show off a fresh pedicure.  I wore these for a quick trip to Chi-Town- one of my favorite cities. The view of the vast Lake Michigan with the Chicago skyline is breathtaking.  If you haven't been to Chi-Town, go!

Pine Away

Seville may be my favorite city in Spain although it's hard to choose just one because the country has so many amazing places.  With temperatures soaring into the nineties, I wore this playful pineapple print skirt for a full day of exploring the magical city of Seville.  These shoes are so comfortable and come in a variety of colors.   I was able to wear them the whole day without hurting my feet- the heel is just the right height to wander for hours.

Free as a Bird

Feeling tropical and free in this magnificent bird and palm print dress.  I don't think there is a better dress for enjoying a warm breeze and beautiful sunset. I love the vibrant colors of the birds and, since the material is cotton, it's perfect for the heat.  I paired it with a bamboo bag and red block heel sandals for a night out in Clearwater, Florida.

Scarlet Fever

When I first saw this skirt, I had to have it!  Not only was it available in my favorite color, but the ruffles and length make it feel like a special piece.  I was also so excited when I first heard that Alice and Olivia was finally coming out with sunglasses this season.  I love all of them, but decided on these after a few hours of trying on all the fun pairs they have.  Definitely worthy of a trip to the store just to try on a couple of pairs- you won't regret it!

New York or Nowhere

There is no place like New York.  I love living in this City with its endless energy and abundance of diversity.  These sweatshirts capture my sentiments perfectly- New York or Nowhere!  The inside of the sweatshirt is a very soft fleece that makes it feel so cozy.  I grabbed the t-shirt too for warmer months.

City Shades

Yes, another Peter Pan collar!  This is one of my favorite outfits of all time.  The collar and cuffs are detachable, which make the sweater very versatile. The glasses print on the skirt is subtle from a distance but up close is a different story.  This outfit eases into colder weather seamlessly with black tights and boots.

Lemon Life

A playful lemon print off the shoulder top  is the perfect match for these dogs day of summer. The yellow flare skirt adds to the vintage vibe.  The dark coral clutch provides a striking contrast, while also serving a good cause.  The proceeds from these bags benefit an organization named Fundación Casa en el Árbol,  which helps families in the coast of Colombia.  It's great being able to shop and help those in need at the same time!
