Connect the Dots

While in Colombia, I discovered a unique and whimsical clothing brand named Pineapples Don't Have Sleeves that has quickly become one of my favorites.  The fun artistic prints are so cute and vibrant.  This dress provided just the right amount of color for a stroll through the village of Sopetrán, which is located just a bit outside of Medellín.

Party Ready

This year has just flown by!  As New Year's Eve approaches, deciding what to wear to bring in the new year becomes a more difficult decision with so many dresses to choose from.  What I adore about this sparkly sequined dress is that you can change the pattern to fit your mood.  Whether it's overall gold or silver stars or a mix of both, you can have a lot of fun playing with the patterns.

Colorful Christmas

I wish everyone a very happy and colorful Christmas!  Hope you are spending this special time with all of your loved ones.  I am home for the holidays spending time with my lovely family and doing a bit of exploring as well.  My favorite neighborhood in Bogotá is the vibrant and historic La Candelaria.  With its bright colonial-style buildings and unique street art, the  energy and life of the neighborhood is inspiring.  I took the inspiration to heart and wore my favorite rainbow bright top for wandering around the neighborhood. Paired with red pants, the look makes a colorful statement while still being comfortable.

Viñales

Cuba is not just Havana.  Besides its beautiful beaches, Cuba also has a lush and vibrant countryside.  We visited Viñales, a rural town in Western Cuba that is about 2.5 hours from Habana, and took in the breathtaking views.  There is a lot to explore and do in this area- tobacco farms, caves, zip lining, eating delicious local food in a paladar, just to name a few things.  If you get the opportunity to go to Cuba, don't miss Viñales- it's worth the trip!

Havana, ooh na-na

Havana stole my heart!  With its fascinating architecture, sounds of salsa and sweet mojitos, Havana's undeniable charm captures your curiosity and leaves you wanting more.  From the arrival at the airport, you immediately feel like you are in a place that is like nowhere else in the world.  A ride in a vintage convertible takes you back in time as you try to take in the overwhelming amount of history and culture around you.  I feel fortunate to have been able to visit this special place and am already thinking of the when I can go back.

Be Thankful

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays as it is not about the presents or the decorations- it is simply about being thankful and grateful.  I am so thankful for everyone I love around me and all the amazing opportunities this crazy world has brought me.  I wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving filled with lots of love and laughter!

Black & White

Black and white simply never goes out of style.  It does not matter the season or year- it is a timeless classic.  So when I saw this dress, I had to have it!  The details are incredibly beautiful.  The sleeves, collar and the buttons make me swoon.  I got a ton of compliments when I wore it out.  There are only a couple of sizes left so order one before it's gone!

Hello, Kitty!

I am a huge Hello Kitty fan and was so happy when the ASOS x Hello Kitty line became available.  Everything is adorable!!  A lot of the items sold out immediately but you can still get a few items and look for things to be restocked.  This sweater is lightweight but looks good with both skirts and jeans for a more casual look.  I had to pair it with my red velvet shoes and red sunglasses- it is my favorite color after all!

True Colors

Cyndi Lauper said it best- true colors are beautiful like a rainbow!  I immediately fell in love with this pleated skirt that embraces all my favorite colors.  I could not stop twirling in it- just putting it on makes me smile.  Although it's a bit of a splurge, it's definitely worth at least trying on and taking a spin or two.

Falling for Fall

I have been doing my best to take advantage of these warm fall days in New York by taking my time meandering through the streets.  There are always things to discover in this ever changing city.  This relaxed dress is one of my favorite purchases of the season- the colorful satin flowers and petals capture the light beautifully.  I could not resist pairing this dress with these blue velvet booties.  They are so comfortable and will match with almost anything.  I plan on getting a lot of use out of them this season and the next.

Fit For A Queen

The rattling of the train above ground, the smells of all different kinds of food and the sound of a beautiful mix of languages, makes Queens one of my favorite New York City boroughs.  With Queens being the most ethnically diverse place on the planet, it is the destination for a culinary adventure- from Greek to Chinese to Colombian you can taste your way around the world without ever hopping on a plane.   For an afternoon of culinary delights, this cotton polka dot dress and metallic sneakers were the perfect match.

Chi-Town

The season of transitional dressing has arrived!  I adore the gold buttons on these cropped pants that will work both with boots for cooler temps and just as well with sandals to show off a fresh pedicure.  I wore these for a quick trip to Chi-Town- one of my favorite cities. The view of the vast Lake Michigan with the Chicago skyline is breathtaking.  If you haven't been to Chi-Town, go!

Striped Holiday

I went to visit the quaint town of South Haven, Michigan for the long Labor Day weekend.  With its cute shops and beautiful marina, this nautical striped maxi dress was a comfortable, relaxed option for a day of sunshine and sightseeing.  Even though Labor Day weekend may be the unofficial end of summer, I'm hanging on to summer as long as I can!

Beach Please

I had to be at the beach to take in the last weekend in August.  There is nothing like the sound and smell of the ocean. For this spectacular beach day in Fire Island, I wore this romper meets maxi dress that can easily go from day to night.  The embroidered detailing of the dress in this deep burgundy color is beautiful and makes the dress an easy transitional piece for fall.

Summer Vibes

This was probably the most beautiful weekend of the summer in NYC- sunny, warm and not an ounce of humidity.  A trip to Governor's Island with this breezy relaxed white dress was the perfect way to enjoy the incredible weather.  The metallic stripes running throughout this dress sparkle in the sunlight.  The bird on this handcrafted bag from Mercedes Salazar is everything! This collection is sold out, but her other bags are amazing as well.
